Candace has been bullied a lot, so starts the story as shy, reserved, and a bit depressed. Through a strange portal in her bag of candy, she ends up in Candyland and sets out on a journey. On her way to the Candy Capital she meets lots of interesting beings and starts making friends with the creatures that inhabit the land. Through these connections, she comes out of her shell and really finds herself and what makes her happy. By the time she leaves Candyland she is a whole new person and is ready to tackle the problems that she faces in the real world.
